Ways to Help

Off Campus Learning is a mission‑driven Public Benefit LLC created to serve homeschooled children and their families. We are not a for‑profit enterprise—our founders intentionally “mission‑locked” the organization so every decision stays focused on providing meaningful, hands‑on, community‑based learning.

Our legal purpose is simple: “to serve homeschooled children and their families by providing supplemental, experiential, and community-based learning programs and resources.”

We’re committed to investing our own resources to keep this mission thriving, and we’re looking for passionate people who want to teach, mentor, or volunteer.

Below are ways you can get involved:

Volunteer

We love volunteers! If you love to work with children and teens and are interested in helping in a new and exciting learning environment, please let us know! We need extra hands in our Unit Studies classes and Friday morning Classes in the Arts. We also need mentors for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons to help run our “Teen Bring Your Own Work” sessions. Other ways to volunteer include cleaning, gathering supplies, being available to substitute teach, or coming in during our lunch time as an extra adult to help watch and interact with the kids.

Teach

We’re actively looking for teachers to lead our Monday and Wednesday afternoon enrichment classes. Each class can be built around your passions, talents, and the subjects you’re excited to share with young people. Our enrichment model is hands‑on, engaging, and designed with minimal homework so the focus stays on learning through experience.

Teachers will be paid a modest amount per class and must commit to one semester at a time (Sep–Dec or Jan–Apr). Classes run 45 minutes and are offered for three age groups: 5–8, 9–12, and 13+.

Help (Classroom Helpers)

Off Campus Learning is designed as a drop‑off program, and that’s only possible when we have enough caring adults on site. For safety, we would like to have at least two adults in the building at all times, which is why classroom helpers are essential to keeping our program running smoothly.

While we can’t offer tuition discounts, we can provide modest pay for parents who are willing to help in the classroom. Helpers are set up as employees, and many families simply use that pay to offset their tuition costs.
